This is my fifth year attending On Aging, and one conference theme I’ve enjoyed is the increasing awareness that sharing our age is a perfect way to normalize what we’re all doing every day: Aging.

Art Against Ageism be there with their wonderful “Own Your Age” photo booth, and people will be stating their age from stage, too. If you’re taking part in this movement—at a conference or anywhere else—I hope you do so proudly.

No rolled eyes. No “I can’t believe it.” No embarrassed laughter. It’s like stating your eye color: I have green eyes. I’m 64.
