A Good Start

Dove has been a friend to inclusivity and diversity for some time. Their soap advertisements have focused on people with a variety of body sizes and skin tones—and they now have a campaign/tagline focused on age: “Beauty never gets old.”

Is this a perfect way to assert that older women should be just as front-and-center as anyone else? Well, mayyybeee, though it’s focused on how women look, and the idea that “never getting old” is a good thing.

But highlighting older women who invoke thoughts of Damn! I want to be like her! is a really good start.
