Time for Change

A small tree growing from a pile of pennies and other change

To the young man at the grocery store, grumbling as the older woman ahead of us counted out change: Would you be irritated if she were young and beautiful?

If it was that stunning neighbor you’ve been dying to meet, would you still find an unhurried cash transaction annoying? And if she glanced over kindly, would you still look away and roll your eyes?

Or is the problem, perhaps, not that someone’s slowing your life down by approximately 90 seconds, but that the world tells you some people matter, but older people don’t? Don’t worry ….

There’s always time for change.
