Valuable Attributes

Recently I heard a psychologist describe “the maturity principle,” saying, People, on average, get better over time. In adulthood you get more conscientious, more dependable and trustworthy, more emotionally stable.

Not everyone, of course, but “on average.”

I looked it up, and there’s science behind it. The term was coined by three psychologists who noted that research has shown, Most people become more dominant, agreeable, conscientious, and emotionally stable over the course of their lives.

It’s not really a surprise to most of us—after all, experience is a great teacher.

But hey, hiring managers, have you thought about this?
