What Would You Say?

You’ve probably heard about Bluesky resurrecting that meme of an older woman telling some basic truth, and a younger woman dismissing her with, “Sure, Grandma, let’s get you to bed.”

And hopefully you’ve seen some discussion about how harmful that meme actually is.

But here’s an idea: Let’s flip that photo and give the grandmother the last word. What might she say after hearing, “Let’s get you to bed”?

Maybe …
“You go to bed. I’ve got sh*t to do.”
Or, “Nah, I’ve got some code to write.”
Or simply, “I’ll make my own decisions, thanks.”
