Across the Ages

Many pro-aging advocates tell of growing up with grandparents or other older adults who played integral, important roles in their lives. Those formative relationships often teach people early that age is not synonymous with decline.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if more of us had these intergenerational experiences? We’d better understand what we all have in common and what we can learn from each other, instead of believing stories that say old people this and young people that.

Fortunately, it’s never too late to make new connections—whether they’re with family members or others.

Build bridges between generations to fight ageism.
