The next time you hear someone say something the slightest bit ageist, try saying, You know what? I heard that October 9th is Ageism Awareness Day! No accusations, no defensiveness—just a little news you saw on the socials.

And if people get a little wary, wondering why you’ve brought up—gulp—ageism, you can add, Apparently, it’s really good for us to feel great about aging.

And there’s quite a movement!
