What’s the Problem?
In a video, a high school teacher pranks his class, saying they get to vote on who will be their substitute while he’s out.
An older candidate delivers a fascinating practice lesson; then a younger one delivers, basically, nothing. Most kids pick the younger teacher, saying the older one was better, but they could “relate” to the younger.
Afterward, the teacher acknowledges, “Ageism is real” and makes a joke about how he’d better start using moisturizer. But did he turn it into a teaching moment for the kids? I hope so.
Because moisturizer is not the problem. (Or the solution.)
