It Rocks, Indeed

There’s an amazing book by Ashton Applewhite called “This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism.” If you haven’t yet read it, I’ll pause while you run out and buy it. (And copies for all your friends.)

I went through it s-l-o-w-l-y, because I wanted to remember every phrase, every adage, every bit of well-researched genius.

I didn’t manage to memorize it, of course, but I read with a pencil in my hand and underlined a thousand truthful gems that opened my eyes and blew my mind.

Here’s just one:

I knew the years were bestowing more than they took away.
