Let It Go
Had dinner with a couple of couples this week, and the conversation turned to some upcoming birthdays (turning 50)—and how they all “worry about” their age.
They talked about recent check-ups—each with a clean bill of health—and how one had surprised his doctor when the answer to What medications do you take? was None.
BTW, these folks also have strong marriages, rewarding careers, and copious resources. Life is good.
And yet they spend time worrying about age.
I lightly suggested letting it go. Why not simply grow older without fretting about troubles that aren’t even there?
