Like No One Is Watching

Did you know there are online videos for awkward dancers, showing us how to move in a more relaxed, confident manner? (Don’t ask how I know.)

One series highlights simple-but-graceful moves and often mentions how to “look sexy,” “go from awkward to sexy,” etc.

Until the focus moves to older adults.

In the videos for those “over 40” and “in your 50s and 60s,” suddenly “sexy” disappears and it becomes “how to dance without embarrassment.”

But according to many of the comments, that phrasing misses its mark. A common response from older viewers is, “Who cares what other people think?”
