Try to Make Sense

Here’s a “witticism” on Instagram from Welch’s: “We can’t make your grandma’s status make sense. But we can make zero sugar make sense.”

Although I’m a grandma, I’ll try my damnedest to say something sensible here …

Dear Welch’s,
Please don’t use “your grandma” as a ridiculous, ageist way to answer the question, “Who should we laugh at by suggesting they don’t make sense?” #StopAgeism

(And yes, I did reply with that.)

Any other grandparents want to jump in? The bar is pretty high: You need to be at least as sensible as an ad campaign that insults people’s intelligence.
