Who Cares?

I once read a blog post about carefully choosing your audience, and it included this advice: If you’re looking for folks to care about the future of the planet, talk to younger people.

I guess the “logic” was that that older people naturally don’t care what happens after we’re gone. But I’m not the only one who thinks that’s nuts, right?

Anyway, the next day’s news set things straight. Sir David Attenborough was speaking at the World Leaders Summit on Climate Change—and his remarks showed that, at 95, he very much cared.

I always wondered if that blogger noticed.
