Book It

Rows and rows of books on shelves

There are 90 days ’til Ageism Awareness Day, on October 9th.

Got any plans?

I’m contacting my local bookstores and libraries, suggesting a celebratory display with the great ones—Ashton Applewhite’s “This Chair Rocks,” Tracey Gendron’s “Ageism Unmasked,” Becca Levy’s “Breaking the Age Code”—and more. A list of kids’ books, too!

I’ll also need to include a note about please-don’t-include books—those that have a don’t-age and stay-young-forever slant. And I’ll offer a handsome poster and mention pro-aging birthday cards in my pitch.

Books are a great way to spread the word and educate. What do you recommend?
