Good Old PR

Micaela Bartels is a creative entrepreneur in Amsterdam who recognized that the word “old” could use a bit of PR. So she teamed up with photographer Sevilay Maria van Dorst to offer exactly that.

Their project is called PR:OUD—combining “PR” with “oud” (Dutch for “old”)—and its centerpiece is a book that highlights dozens of older adults with beautiful photos and short interviews, displaying a celebration of life, resilience, and strength.

“There is power, beauty, and charisma in people who have lived and grown for many years,” says Micaela.

There’s also power and beauty in sharing this magnificent truth.
