Here Comes October

A woman jumping for joy in the autumn leaves

In 1990, the UN named Oct. 1 International Day of Older Persons.

Since then, Australia’s EveryAGE Counts campaign and the American Society on Aging have jumped in with Ageism Awareness Day on Oct. 9—and the Canadian Coalition Against Ageism has joined the party with a campaign that covers that whole time frame, Oct. 1-9.

(Btw, the UK has also launched a campaign called Age Without Limits—though it doesn’t seem to have any October ties. Yet.)

Of course, every day is a good day to #TalkAboutAgeism, #EliminateAgeism, and move us all toward #AWorld4AllAges

Hope you’ll join in.
