An article offering tips on how realtors can help older adults find their next home made me grind my teeth when I read its shocking assumptions and stereotypes. 

Early on, it mentioned the need for “smaller, more affordable homes where they’ll be safe as their eyesight, hearing and mobility decline”—as if everyone’s future holds these changes.

And later, it included quotes from “Senior Real Estate Specialists®” including, “Their world is getting smaller;” and “I’ve found that many in the older generation aren’t great researchers.” Ugh.
