Rounding Up the Usual Suspects

News flash: Meta created an AI advisory council that’s composed entirely of White men.

That’s an interesting headline—but it forgets to mention young White men. It does come up in the article, though: The members of the group are all in their 30s or 40s.

The reporter also points out: Historically, women and people of color have borne the brunt of harms from tech advancements—making their inclusion in decision-making processes all the more important.

They don’t mention how older adults are routinely disparaged and maligned for not embracing technologies … when we’re not even asked for input.
