Those Brits, Part 1

The first time I traveled overseas, I landed in London thinking, “Wow—so far away and exciting! But at least I’ll understand the language!” Of course, I quickly learned that I’d overestimated my familiarity with the mother tongue.

Recently, my interest in what they’re saying across the pond has been piqued again—because there’s some marvelous stuff going on over there to help fight ageism.

For example, have you seen the video from Age UK that begins, “Why do we value old objects over older people?” and finishes with “Let’s change how we age”?

Those Brits are speaking my language.
